Leeds Festival 2020

Thorner Community Fund Ticket Registration
Sunday 1 March, Thorner Victory Hall.

  • Only Thorner residents will be able to queue
  • We will open the doors at 08:00 so that you can shelter from the weather and so that application forms can be validated before you approach the ticket desks
  • We will open desks and start selling tickets from 09:30 and close the doors at 11:30

 Thorner Resident Eligibility

  • Ticket supply is limited
  • Eligibility will be based on current Thorner residency

    • Up to a maximum of 4 per household
  • Full price resident tickets – £ Donation to be confirmed
    • Maximum 2 per household
  • Children under 13 (aged 12 or younger) at the time of the festival will not need a ticket

Registration: 09:30 – 11.30 Sunday 1 March 2020 Thorner Victory Hall

  • Only Thorner residents will be allowed to queue for tickets
  • The doors will be open from 0800. We will be checking your applications in the queue to save time and minimise errors
  • We will open the first desk at 09:30
  • Based on past experience we will close the doors at 11:30
  • All applicants will need to prove current Thorner residency and also provide photo ID
  • Please bring a current, valid, Driving Licence if you have one. You won’t need to show anything else and it will speed everything up
  • If you don’t have a Driving Licence you will need proof of both current residence (something less than six months old, showing where you live) and also some ID (something to prove who you are). For younger residents a recent letter from school or a savings account, a letter from a doctor or hospital would be accepted
  • Household applications can be made by a single member of a household but only where the tickets are for other household member’s personal use. Adequate proof of residency will be required for all applicants not just the person queuing.
  • If residents are not planning to attend the festival, they can nominate tickets for use by someone else (a relative or close friend) but must attend and apply in person and queue up with other residents
  • A maximum of 2 tickets per household may be nominated
  • Full names of ticket users must be given at the time of registration and cannot be changed
  • Full payment for all tickets must be made at registration, preferably by cheque (payable to Thorner Community Fund). Credit cards will not be accepted
  • Information will only be used by Thorner Community Fund and Festival Republic for the purposes of ticket allocation and Leeds Festival access
  • Incomplete applications (e.g. no proof of residency, lack of ID, missing payment) will not be accepted

Please do not abuse the Thorner ticketing system:

  • Please do not to ask friends and neighbours to apply for extra tickets for your party
  • Residents who wish to nominate tickets for use by another person must take responsibility for those ticket users
  • If you want additional tickets we have a limited supply at full price. These attract all the same access and resident privileges as the reduced price tickets
  • Residents should not seek to profit in any way from the distribution of tickets
  • Tickets are non transferable and not for re-sale
  • Former residents are not eligible to apply for tickets. Students who are only temporarily absent may still be Thorner residents but adult family members who have moved away from the family home will not be eligible
  • Festival Republic and the TCF committee have previously identified some abuse and as a result, residents have been barred from the festival

Postal and email applications

  • Any remaining tickets will be available by postal application. If you cannot attend the registration event, postal applications can be made to Wayne Young by email thornercommunityfund@gmail.com or post 1 Skippon Terrace, Carr Lane, Thorner LS14 3HA.  Postal applications can only be made by Thorner residents and should include:
    • The names of all residents who are requesting tickets
    • A contact telephone number and e mail address
    • The names of all ticket users
    • The type of tickets required (reduced price or full price)
    • Do not include payment

And afterwards

  • We will keep a reserve/waiting list
  • Let us know early if you can’t attend the festival. We will try to re-allocate your ticket if you let us know in reasonable time. We will not be able to reallocate tickets or offer a refund if you leave this too late
