We remain optimistic that the Leeds Festival 2021 will go ahead. We will all be awaiting announcements and confirmation of the next stages of the Government roadmap and hoping for positive news
Whilst we continue to plan from a positive standpoint, we have tried to avoid re-starting anything too early. Time is moving on and whilst we would all hope for a definitive statement, we may need to re-commence administrative activity before we have that certainty, including completing those applications that were left outstanding when we went into lockdown in 2020.
2020 Tickets rolled forward: The vast majority of residents have elected to roll 2020 tickets forward. These tickets will be valid for 2021 If you have registered and paid for tickets you don’t need to do anything further at this point other than take note of the new e-ticket arrangements described below
Ticket Registration: A small number of applications were left incomplete when went into lockdown. If we have already confirmed your ticket allocation but not taken full details or payment we will be in touch soon to arrange completion of your application. You don’t need to make contact at this stage. If you have registered your interest on the waiting list, we will be in touch only if and when we have tickets to offer.
Ticket Collection: Our usual arrangement is for approved tickets to be available for collection in the week of the festival. This year, Festival Republic will be moving to an e-ticket arrangement. This means there will be no ticket collection event in August and all tickets will be delivered electronically by e-mail.
So that we can be sure the e-tickets reach the named users, we will need to collect accurate, up to date e-mail addresses. I’m sure you will have questions about precisely how this will work and our next update will cover this in detail.
You don’t need to do anything at this stage but please be ready to respond when we issue instructions over the next few weeks. Full details will be published on the Thorner village website and on notices around the village. Please share this update with friends and neighbours to give them advance notice if you think this message may not reach them.
